We woke up 45 minutes early this morning to try and catch the sunrise. The sky was streaked with pretty colors and we snoozed our alarm and checked how the colors were progressing every few minutes for about half an hour before we finally dragged ourselves out of bed. We had the usual coffee and cereal and enjoyed the view before hopping in the car. It was mostly a driving day but it passed quickly. We listened to some great tunes including Childish Gambino and April Lavigne but mostly listened to Divergent...Our audiobook. Tris and 4 finally kissed and ish got real. We finished the first book- a whopping 11 hours total. What will we do without it? Move on to a new book or buy the second book in the series? At around 2pm when the peak of driving Hanger (hunger that turns to grumpies) had hit we pulled over to a Mexican restaurant not knowing what to expect or what we would need to pay. But we didn't care. We had Deluxe Nachos and a Super Burrito and surprisingly few leftovers. It was just what we needed to turn our silent hunger into delirious giggles.... off we went.
Just as Divergent ends we pull up to Laura Armstrong's house. Our dear friend and fellow Apo Leader. She is just the bright face and big smile we need. She takes us on a beautiful 3 mile yog through carbondale CO and we spend the evening catching up over local beers, fried pickles and delicious sandwiches. Even though we were still on our air mattress it was incredibly refreshing to sleep somewhere with lights, a flushing toilet and no worries of lightning or grizzly bears. Such a fantastic day!! Tomorrow we're debating between heading to Moab or Telluride. We'll see what the day brings!
Love the new photos and entry. America sure is purdy. Go to Moab and scout for us!
